Rain doesn’t stop play for Strikers!

Strikers play Liphook in the women's I'anson league.

Luckily the rain held off on Tuesday, so after both teams desperately tried to warm up with some training runs we, were all set to play.

Liphook won the toss and elected to field first. Strikers set a hard target of 311 for Liphook to chase, with good calling and several cheeky 2’s. They even managed not to run into each other this week!

After a swift changeover, Liphook batted well and fought hard but fell shy at 275 with 2 wickets against them, one being a spectacular catch by Nikkie. Apart from the nibbling mosquitoes it was a great match and, as always, a pleasure to play such a fun and lovely team. Well done Strikers keep up the good work!

It was also great to see Sonia in action flexing her newly acquired umpire skills.
