Girls Cricket at Grayshott
Grayshott Cricket Club offers an excellent cricket program for girls aged 8 to 15, with dedicated teams and a growing community of young female players. As a Clubmark accredited club since 2005, Grayshott is known for its commitment to developing young cricketers in a fun, supportive environment.
Winter and Summer Coaching
Year-round coaching for juniors, with passionate, qualified coaches leading every session. We keep a small coach-to-child ratio to ensure everyone gets individual attention. All our coaches are DBS checked and trained in first aid and child safeguarding, providing a safe and fun environment for all players.
Girls Teams and Programmes
In 2025 the club will be offering the following Girls cricket;

Under 11 Softball team

Two hardball teams at Under 13

Under 15 hardball team

Girls older than 15 are invited to join the women's hardball team, starting in 2025

The club will again also be entering number of Girls only Cup Competitions

Girls Only Dynamos: This programme is perfect for girls aged 8 to 12 years old who are new to cricket. It starts on Friday, 9th May, with sessions focused on introducing basic skills in a fun, engaging way.

Coaching is led by our fully qualified ECB coaches, including Antonia Bird, who heads the girls’ coaching team. Coaches Simon Tomlins, Mark Nanovich and Andy Surridge, along with Girls Dynamos Activator Cath Rose, provide a supportive and encouraging environment.

Coaching Philosophy:

Sessions are designed to be enjoyable and focused on helping girls develop cricket skills and a love for the sport. For girls interested in supporting the coaching team, volunteer opportunities are available.

Equipment and Club Kit
The club provides bats, stumps, and balls, so there’s no need for young players to buy equipment. Girls in the U11 age group play with an “incrediball” (softball), so protective gear isn’t necessary for this group.
Grayshotts girls can purchase their team kit from the club’s store. Alternatively the club has a Facebook page where you can buy and sell second hand team wear and equipment.
