The Grayshott Strikers travelled down the road to Fernhurst for their last match of the season against the Flames.

The Strikers took up their positions on the green to field first and with some impressive bowling and catches, took 8 wickets, keeping Fernhurst to a respectable 297 from 20 overs.

It was the Strikers turn next to step up to the crease and face Fernhurst in the field. The Strikers put in a good shift but it was the bowling from Fernhurst that really shined this afternoon, keeping the Strikers to 256 and mirroring the score with 8 wickets.

The real win of the day was the excellent match teas, clubhouse and views over Fernhurst – a great day out and afternoon of cricket. Big thanks to the Flames for the delicious match tea, and to the yummy bakes goodies from Cath and Daisy! And thank you to Paul Heath for his umpiring duties.

As the season nears to an end, Grayshott look forward to squeezing in some friendlies.
