The Club are pleased to announce that we are supporting a local charity each year. For 2023, our nominated charity is Challengers. Challengers gives disabled children and young people, aged 2 – 18, the opportunity to play, have fun, and make friends in a safe and supportive environment across the South East of England.

Whilst it was a tough decision to choose one charity from the nominations, the committee felt that this was a an excellent choice, having received several nominations. As a Club we have introduced Super 1’s disability cricket this year and hope to attract more players in the future, to provide the opportunity for competitive cricket for all.

The Club will be making a financial contribution to Challengers later this year to help fund their wonderful and important work.

Pippa, a women’s player, and whose children experience amazing support from Challengers shared:

‘I am so thrilled that Challengers has been nominated as the Club’s Charity of the Year. The services they offer to children and the parents and carers of disabled children are vital. Both of my children have attended Challengers over the years and the positive impact on them and for us as a family is unmeasurable. The donation from the Club will make sure a difference. Thank you!’
