The morning for Day 2 of the Shotts Tour to Cornwall was golf and it was a pretty breezy one for the golfers with Andy Wheble comfortably winning.

A few hardy souls played beach cricket and dipped their toes into the cold Atlantic sea.

As the weather improved the tourists headed towards Tintagel for their evening game. Skipper for the evening was Charles Brayshaw and the Shotts reached 157 off their 20 overs with Avery retiring on 50, Larby 46 and Hutchinson 26. It was not enough though as the home team comfortably reached their target.

The game included its usual tradition of each batsman drawing their first shot and Paul Scanlon is pictured facing his first ball from behind the stumps… which he duly hit for 4.

The game suffered its usual injury, this year a Tintagel player. Following the game a great spread of hot food was laid on by Tintagel for everyone to enjoy before the trip home for draw for the crazy golf competition on Day 3.
